The first quarter of 2021 has seen varying performance among the top dining and restaurant applications on the iOS platform in the United States. Sensor Tower's data offers us a glimpse into how these apps have fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Starting with McDonald's, downloads began at 194K in the last week of December 2020, dipping to 146K in mid-January, and later peaking at 191K towards the end of January. The trend fluctuated slightly but generally maintained a descent towards 162K by the end of March. Weekly active users started strong at 2.7M, saw a decline in early January to 2.5M, but rebounded, reaching a peak of 3.2M in late March.

Yelp: Food, Delivery & Reviews experienced a steady download rate, starting from 138K at the year's end and showing a modest increase over the quarter, concluding at 181K. The app's weekly active users presented a more pronounced growth, rising from 5.7M at the beginning of January to a high of 7.5M by the end of March.

The Starbucks app showed a decreasing trend in downloads, beginning the quarter with 186K and ending with 138K. However, its weekly active users saw an upturn, starting at 3.7M, dipping in early February to 3M, and then climbing to reach 3.9M by the close of March.

Chick-fil-A downloads had a peak at 177K in mid-January but generally followed a downward trajectory to 109K by the end of the quarter. Similarly, weekly active users peaked at 1.7M in mid-January and then gradually decreased to 1.5M by the end of March.

Lastly, Domino's Pizza USA downloads hovered around 107K-110K in early January, saw a decline in February, and then increased to 141K by the end of March. The weekly active users were at their highest at 2.5M at the start of the year and, after a slight dip, increased to 2.3M by the quarter's end.
